24 HOURS OF LE MANS

Today, June 16, 2024, the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans concluded with Ferrari reaffirming its absolute dominance, bringing two cars to the podium in a dream performance that warmed the hearts of fans around the world. This triumph takes us back in time to June 18, 1933, to the 11th Edition of the same race, when our hero, TAZIO NUVOLARI, wrote one of the most epic pages in the history of motorsport.

We recall the tales of that historic 1933 race, when Nuvolari, along with his teammate Raymond Sommer, faced a titanic challenge. In the tenth hour of the race, an accident forced the two drivers to stop for a full 17 minutes to repair a broken fender and a dangerous fuel leak. This setback dropped the pair to third place, a blow that would have discouraged anyone. But not them, not Nuvolari.

With extraordinary determination and courage, Nuvolari and Sommer returned to the track, repeatedly breaking the lap record. Their fury and skill first brought them back to second place and then, by the seventeenth hour, back to the lead of the race. But the difficulties were not over: the fuel tank continued to cause problems, forcing them to make frequent stops for repairs.

Despite everything, Nivola never gave up. With every pit stop, with every lap, he continued to push his Alfa Romeo to the limit, maintaining the lead position until the end. That victory was more than just a sporting triumph; it was a symbol of the resilience, talent, and indomitable spirit that has always characterized Italian drivers.

Today, watching Ferrari speed victoriously under the checkered flag, it is impossible not to think of those glorious days. Emotions intertwine, past and present merge in an embrace of glory. History repeats itself, and the TRICOLORE, yesterday as today, shines among the brightest stars in the automotive firmament, reminding us that the legend of Le Mans is written with the heart and courage of its heroes.
