On the morning of Thursday, August 8th, the Targa Florio Museum in Collesano was honored by a visit from Fabio Castagna, Head of the Digital Bank at the 'Tazio Nuvolari Museum of Mantua,' representing the Director, Giuseppe Pottocar. Welcoming him were Mayor Tiziana Cascio, Deputy Mayor Daniele Carlino, Cultural Assessor Elsa Ingrao, and Curator Michele Gargano, who shared the history of the Museum and highlighted its treasures. The Museum houses an important and evocative collection of photos, objects, and memorabilia from the most challenging and captivating road race of all time, the legendary 'Targa Florio.'
Today, ACI Mantova and the Tazio Nuvolari Museum, with the participation of the Municipality of Mantua and the 8Volanti Tazio Nuvolari Club, celebrated with great emotion the 71st anniversary of the passing of Tazio Nuvolari, the legendary driver who left an indelible mark on the world of motor racing. The ceremony took place in an atmosphere filled with nostalgia and admiration, with enthusiasts and historians gathered to honor the memory of this extraordinary man.
It was a celebration not only of his talent as a driver but also of his humanity and indomitable spirit.
