19/10/2024 - COMIC BOOK, A MIRACLE IN MILAN

The city of Milan has been represented countless times in comics, acting as a backdrop to the adventures of the most beloved characters, from Donald Duck to the Smurfs, or becoming the true protagonist of stories where its peculiarities play a fundamental role.

WOW Spazio Fumetto presents the exhibition “Fumetto, un miracolo a Milano”, curated by Luigi F. Bona, Luca Bertuzzi and Gian Luca Margheriti, which intends to reveal the fascinating story of the way in which the authors of the Comics have been able, over the course of over a hundred years, to tell the territory, the inhabitants, the places, the history of Milan and its surroundings.

Our Mantuan Champion could not be missing, represented by some plates taken from TAZIO NUVOLARI - Compagno del Vento (2009) - Drawings by Marco D'Aponte - Script by Pit Formento - Tazio Nuvolari Museum in Mantua. The original volume was made available for the occasion by the GlobalMedia collection (Partner WOW Museum and Tazio Nuvolari Museum), to draw the tables relating to the 1938 Italian Grand Prix. Where at the end of the 60 scheduled laps, Tazio Nuvolari triumphed, taking the first victory for Auto Union, ahead of the Alfa Romeo V-16 of Farina and Caracciola on Mercedes.
